The goosefoot leafminer moth (lat. Gracillaria fidella) is a species of moth in the family Gracillariidae, belonging to the order Lepidoptera. This pest is a specialized leafminer that primarily targets plants within the Amaranthaceae family, making it a significant entomological subject for agricultural research.

The pest typically infests plants in the Chenopodium and Atriplex genera. While primarily a pest of weeds, in agricultural contexts, it can occasionally cause damage to related crops such as spinach or sugar beet, affecting the overall plant health and reducing the commercial quality of the foliage.

The biological cycle of this insect involves complete metamorphosis. Female moths lay eggs on the leaves, and the emerging larvae immediately burrow into the leaf tissue.
