Hemianaphothrips is a genus of insects belonging to the order Thysanoptera and the family Thripidae. As a significant agricultural pest, it is recognized for its ability to infest various cultivated plants, causing notable physiological stress and yield reduction in intensive farming systems.
The host range of Hemianaphothrips includes a variety of greenhouse vegetables, ornamental flowers, and certain field crops. These insects prefer tender plant tissues, making seedlings and young foliage particularly susceptible to colonization during the early stages of plant development.
