Description

Systematic position: The Tajik cyst nematode (Heterodera tadshikistanica) belongs to the order Tylenchida and the family Heteroderidae. It is a specialized plant parasite belonging to the group of cyst-forming nematodes, known for their high adaptability to the soil and climatic conditions of Central Asia.

Host crops: This nematode species primarily affects a wide range of agricultural crops, including cereals and industrial plants. The pest poses a particular threat to crops in rotations where proper crop sequence is not maintained, leading to the accumulation of infectious material in the soil.
