Within agricultural environments, it is considered a significant disturbance factor, as its territorial and defensive behaviors conflict with the human maintenance of large-scale plantations and paddy fields.

Crops affected: While Heterometrus fulvipes is a predator, it causes indirect damage to various crops including rice, groundnut, and vegetable varieties.
