Hoplolaimus indicus is a significant species of plant-parasitic nematodes belonging to the order Tylenchida and the family Hoplolaimidae. These microscopic organisms are recognized as serious soil-borne pests that affect the root systems of a wide range of economically important crops worldwide.
The host range of this nematode is extensive, encompassing major staple crops such as rice, wheat, corn, and sugarcane. Additionally, it frequently attacks various vegetable crops, including tomatoes and potatoes, as well as legumes.
