Due to their cryptic coloration, both adult moths and larvae are well-adapted to camouflage themselves against bark and twigs, often making them difficult to detect during the early stages of an infestation.

The larvae of Iridopsis are polyphagous, meaning they feed on a wide variety of plant species. They are frequently reported as pests on deciduous trees, shrubs, and various agricultural crops.
