Korynetes is a genus of beetles belonging to the family Cleridae (checkered beetles) within the order Coleoptera. While some members of this family are recognized as beneficial predators of other wood-boring insects, certain species under the Korynetes genus are known to be pests in stored products, affecting grain, seeds, and various processed organic materials.

These insects primarily infest granaries, flour mills, and warehouses storing agricultural goods. They are opportunistic feeders that thrive in environments where sanitation is poor or where stored commodities have remained undisturbed for long periods. Their presence is often a secondary infestation, occurring alongside other grain-eating pests.
