Description
Systematic position: The Long-armed leaf beetle (Labidostomis longimana) belongs to the order Coleoptera and the family Chrysomelidae. It is a specialized insect pest that significantly impacts orchards and forest plantations, commonly found across temperate regions of Eurasia.
Affected crops: This pest exhibits polyphagy, feeding on a variety of woody plants. It primarily attacks fruit trees, including apples, pears, plums, and cherries. Furthermore, it frequently feeds on forest tree species such as oaks, hazels, and various willow species, which often serve as a reservoir for pest outbreaks.
