The genus Lamachus belongs to the order Hymenoptera and the family Ichneumonidae. These insects are well-known among agronomists as specialized parasitoids, playing a crucial role in controlling populations of sawflies that damage orchard crops, including apples, pears, and various stone fruits.
From a biological perspective, Lamachus species are highly adapted to locate specific hosts.
