Host plants and infestation: This spider does not feed on plants, meaning it is not a primary agricultural pest in terms of crop consumption. However, it is frequently encountered in agricultural landscapes, including sugarcane fields and vegetable plantations, where the structure of the crops provides an ideal habitat for web construction.

Biology and life cycle: The species exhibits a typical web-building life cycle. Females are solitary and construct strong, irregular webs near the ground or between plant stalks. Eggs are deposited in silk cocoons, and after hatching, the spiderlings disperse using silk threads caught by the wind, which facilitates their spread across agricultural fields.
