Meloidogyne paramali is a species of root-knot nematode belonging to the order Tylenchida and the family Meloidogynidae. As an obligate sedentary endoparasite, this nematode requires a living host to complete its life cycle. It is a major economic pest, particularly in intensive agricultural settings where host plants are grown continuously.

The host range of this species encompasses various economically important crops, including vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers. The parasite is highly adaptable to both field conditions and greenhouse environments, where stable temperatures and moist soil facilitate its rapid spread and colonization of root systems.
