It serves as a highly efficient natural predator, consuming vast quantities of nocturnal insects that often pose significant threats to various horticultural and agricultural crops.
The biological cycle of this species is strictly linked to seasonal changes. During the summer, reproductive colonies are formed in sheltered areas, often including buildings and caves.
