Description
The genus Neocrepidodera belongs to the family Chrysomelidae within the order Coleoptera. These insects are commonly known as flea beetles. They are recognized by their enlarged hind femora, which grant them the ability to jump when disturbed. As a significant agricultural pest, they pose a threat to both commercial crops and home gardens.
This pest affects a wide range of host plants, particularly those belonging to the Rosaceae and Solanaceae families. They are frequently observed feeding on various leafy vegetables and orchard plants. Due to their rapid movement and small size, identifying early infestations is crucial for maintaining crop health and preventing widespread damage.

This feeding pattern reduces the surface area of leaves, negatively impacting photosynthesis. Heavy infestations can lead to stunted growth, reduced yields, and, in severe cases, the total loss of young seedlings.
