Major hosts include passion fruit (Passiflora), citrus, coffee, mango, and cocoa. Its ability to adapt to different hosts makes it a persistent challenge in fruit-growing regions around the world.

Biology and Life Cycle: The life cycle of Neosilba parva consists of four stages: egg, larva, pupa, and adult. Females typically deposit their eggs into existing wounds or natural openings in the fruit skin. Once hatched, larvae feed internally on the pulp.
