The Pistachio moth (Parocneria terebynthina) is a specialized insect pest belonging to the order Lepidoptera and the family Erebidae. It is recognized as a significant defoliator, specifically targeting trees within the Anacardiaceae family, primarily focusing on species of the genus Pistacia.
Its primary host plants are the common pistachio (Pistacia vera) and the wild terebinth (Pistacia terebinthus).
