The white-footed mouse (Latin Peromyscus leucopus) belongs to the order Rodentia and the family Cricetidae. It is a common small rodent species widely distributed in North America, known for its opportunistic behavior in invading agricultural fields, orchards, and storage facilities, where it acts as a persistent pest.

This rodent poses a significant threat to various crops, including corn, wheat, soybeans, and horticultural seeds.
