Description
The genus Sabra refers to a group of moths within the Drepanidae family, commonly known as hook-tips. Among these, Sabra harpagula is recognized as a potential pest of various deciduous trees, occasionally impacting orchard shelterbelts and forest plantations.
Classified under the order Lepidoptera and the family Drepanidae, these insects exhibit distinct physiological characteristics. The moths are named for the falcate (hooked) tips of their forewings, which provide excellent camouflage against dried leaves when the insects are at rest.
