Sarsina (lat. Sarsina) is a genus of insects belonging to the order Lepidoptera and the family Erebidae. This pest is recognized for its ability to damage various types of vegetation, specifically targeting woody plants and shrubs, which makes it a subject of concern in forestry and horticulture management.

The primary damage is caused by the larval stage of the insect. The caterpillars possess robust mouthparts adapted for consuming foliage. By feeding on leaves, they disrupt the photosynthetic capability of the host plant, leading to stunted growth and increased susceptibility to secondary infections or environmental stress.

The life cycle of the species follows a complete transformation pattern: egg, larva, pupa, and adult.
