Scutellonema is a genus of plant-parasitic nematodes belonging to the order Tylenchida and the family Hoplolaimidae. These microscopic roundworms are known for their semi-endoparasitic feeding habit, causing significant stress to a wide variety of host plants globally.

The host range of Scutellonema is broad, affecting cereals, legumes, various vegetables, and horticultural crops. They are particularly detrimental to tuber and root crops, as their feeding activity is concentrated in the rhizosphere and the vascular tissues of the root system.
