These are specialized parasitoid insects whose life cycle is intrinsically linked to the development of other insect species, often inhabiting sheltered or inaccessible niches such as wood or the nests of other arthropods.

Biology and development cycle. The life cycle of Szepligetella involves complex metamorphosis. Females of this genus utilize elongated ovipositors to locate and infest hosts. Protection measures. Specific control measures against Szepligetella are generally not developed, as they rarely reach levels of severe infestation. However, to maintain biological balance in the field, it is recommended to:
