Tettigometra is a genus of insects belonging to the order Hemiptera and the family Tettigometridae. These planthoppers are known for their distinct morphological features and unique ecological relationships, often forming mutualistic associations with ant colonies which protect them while foraging on host plants.

The pest primarily affects a variety of field crops, including cereals, forage grasses, and several vegetable varieties. By utilizing a piercing-sucking mouthpart, these insects extract vital phloem sap, which deprives the plant of necessary nutrients and leads to visible stunting and wilting of the affected tissues.
