The oak blotch miner (Tischeria dodonaea) is a small moth species belonging to the order Lepidoptera and the family Tischeriidae. It is recognized as a significant pest that primarily impacts various oak tree species within woodlands and urban environments.

The host range for this pest is specific to the genus Quercus. These insects favor oak foliage, which provides both nutrition and shelter for the larval stages.
