Vittatidera is a genus of insects from the leaf beetle family (Chrysomelidae), order Coleoptera. These insects are known for their specialized trophic association with specific plant groups, making them a significant threat in certain regions. Biological classification defines them as typical leaf beetles, possessing a characteristic chewing mouthpart structure.

The primary damage from Vittatidera is recorded on members of the Amaranthaceae family and certain other weed or crop plants. Both beetles and their larvae prefer to feed on the vegetative organs of plants, damaging leaf blades, which leads to a significant reduction in the photosynthetic surface area and weakens the overall physiological state of the crop.
