The ten-spotted xanthonia (Xanthonia decemnotata) is a member of the Chrysomelidae family, belonging to the order Coleoptera. These beetles are recognized for their distinct spotting patterns on their wing covers, which distinguish them from other closely related species within the leaf beetle group.

This pest is known to feed on a variety of agricultural and wild plants. It primarily targets species within the Solanaceae family and certain fruit-bearing shrubs.
