Zelus rubidus is an insect species belonging to the Reduviidae family (assassin bugs). While many species within this family are beneficial predators, Zelus rubidus is recognized as a pest capable of causing significant damage to agricultural crops when feeding on plant sap during periods of prey scarcity.
