By providing both pre-emergence and early post-emergence activity, it acts as a reliable tool for maintaining clean fields during the critical early growth stages of crops.
The core mechanism of action of methoprotryne is the inhibition of photosynthesis in target plants. Once absorbed through the root system or foliage, the active ingredient interferes with electron transport within photosystem II. This disruption halts the synthesis of essential sugars and energy-carrying molecules, eventually causing the weed to lose its ability to sustain vital functions, which leads to bleaching, chlorosis, and eventual death.
