The application involves fans and aeration ducts installed within the storage structure. Operators should monitor ambient conditions closely, as the effectiveness depends on the difference between the temperature of the air and the grain mass.
Common mistakes include operating ventilation systems during high-humidity or rainy conditions, which can re-wet the product, or failing to monitor the aeration front, leading to uneven moisture distribution and localized hot spots.
