The main purpose of using microgranules is to create a "starter effect" directly within the root development zone. Due to the small particle size, nutrients or crop protection agents are distributed uniformly along the seed furrow, which helps minimize fertilizer losses and improves accessibility for seedlings.
These products are applied simultaneously with sowing using specialized applicators mounted on planters. This method is particularly effective under moisture-limited conditions or for crops requiring intensive early-stage nutrition. Utilizing microgranules allows for a significant reduction in the application rates of active ingredients compared to traditional broadcast methods.
Common errors include improper adjustment of placement depth, which may result in chemical burns if granules are too close to the seeds, or poor nutrient uptake if they are placed too deep. It is also crucial to maintain the dosing systems to ensure consistent distribution across all rows and prevent clogging.
