It is recognized as a persistent, low-growing herbaceous plant that often invades disturbed soil, pastures, and fallow land. Due to its resilient nature and efficient seed dispersal, it is categorized as a significant nuisance in various agricultural sectors.
This weed is commonly found in meadows, roadsides, and agricultural areas with light, sandy soils. In crop production, it frequently interferes with pastures and forage crops, where its presence is exacerbated by overgrazing or poor soil management. The plant adapts well to temperate climates and can quickly colonize areas where native vegetation has been weakened.
