Bearberry cotoneaster

Bearberry cotoneaster (Cotoneaster uva-ursi) is an evergreen or semi-evergreen shrub belonging to the Rosaceae family. It is highly valued in horticulture for its prostrate growth habit, which allows it to form a dense, lush mat, making it an excellent choice for groundcover in various garden settings.

This species is native to mountainous regions of Western China. The plant features woody, trailing stems and small, leathery, dark green leaves. During the spring, it produces small, delicate white or pale pink flowers.
