Lesser snapdragon (lat. Misopates orontium) is an annual herbaceous plant classified within the Plantaginaceae family. In agronomy, it is primarily recognized as a common agricultural weed that competes with crops for soil nutrients, water, and sunlight, though it possesses distinct botanical traits that differentiate it from cultivated Antirrhinum species.
Native to the Mediterranean region and parts of Europe, the plant has successfully naturalized in temperate and subtropical zones globally.
