Greater needleleaf (Polycnemum majus) is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the Amaranthaceae family. In agricultural settings, it is classified as a field weed that thrives in disturbed soils, often competing with agricultural crops for nutrients and sunlight. Its ability to colonize light soils makes it a recurring problem in sandy agricultural regions.
