Appendicispora is a genus of fungi recognized as a plant pathogen capable of causing significant foliar damage. As a fungal disease, it invades the plant's host tissues, extracting nutrients and disrupting essential metabolic processes, which leads to structural damage of the infected plant parts.

The host range of Appendicispora typically includes various shrubs, broad-leaved trees, and sometimes herbaceous crops. The pathogen exploits small wounds and natural stomatal openings to infiltrate the epidermis, establishing a parasitic relationship that eventually produces visible symptoms on the surface.
