The fungus Boeremia inoxydabilis is a serious plant pathogen responsible for localized tissue necrosis. It belongs to the Coelomycetes class and functions as a parasite, infecting various agricultural crops by penetrating the host's cuticle and colonizing the inner tissues, leading to significant physiological stress in the plant.

The host range of Boeremia inoxydabilis includes various herbaceous plants, often causing damage to stems and leaves. By destroying the photosynthetic tissue and disrupting vascular functions, the pathogen can severely stunt plant growth, leading to premature leaf drop and, in severe infections, complete crop failure if left unchecked.
