As a soil-borne agent, it impacts the fundamental physiological processes of the host plant by colonizing the root system and the lower stem area, thereby restricting the transport of essential nutrients and moisture from the soil to the leaves.
The primary hosts of this pathogen include cereal crops, vegetable varieties, and certain ornamental species.
