Anthracnose of cereals, caused by the fungus Colletotrichum cereale, is a significant disease affecting a wide range of monocotyledonous crops. The host range of Colletotrichum cereale includes major cereal crops such as wheat, barley, rye, and oats, as well as various ornamental and turf grasses.
