The primary hosts for this pathogen include plants in the Asteraceae family, notably the genus Cosmos. However, its host range is dynamic, and under favorable conditions, it can infect a broader spectrum of ornamental plants, leading to severe outbreaks in nursery environments and greenhouse settings where humidity levels are difficult to manage.
