The primary host range includes species such as Calathea and Maranta. These plants often suffer from foliage depreciation when exposed to high-pressure infections. The disease specifically targets the metabolic sites of the leaves, causing structural damage to the cellular layers and limiting the plant's ability to undergo efficient photosynthesis, which is crucial for long-term survival.
