As a pathogenic agent, it primarily targets the epidermal tissues of leaves, disrupting the plant's metabolic processes and often leading to severe aesthetic and physiological damage to the host plant.
This fungus typically impacts evergreen trees, shrubs, and various ornamental plants, especially in tropical and subtropical environments. The pathogen is recognized for its ability to colonize foliage under specific microclimatic conditions, often affecting plants in nurseries and glasshouses where environmental parameters are strictly maintained but can inadvertently favor fungal growth.
