Fusarium beomiforme is a species of pathogenic fungus within the Fusarium genus responsible for various plant diseases, primarily root and stem rots. As a soil-borne pathogen, it possesses the ability to survive in unfavorable conditions by forming hardy chlamydospores, allowing it to persist in the field for multiple seasons even in the absence of a host crop.

The host range of Fusarium beomiforme primarily includes cereal crops such as wheat, corn, and sorghum, as well as several leguminous plants. The fungus colonizes the root systems of these plants, disrupting vascular tissue and significantly impairing the plant's ability to transport water and nutrients, which eventually leads to stunted growth or total collapse.
