The Hyaloriaceae family represents a specific group of basidiomycete fungi belonging to the order Auriculariales. In agricultural practices, these fungi act as potential pathogens or saprotrophs that may affect the vitality of trees and shrubs, particularly when host plants are stressed by environmental factors or mechanical injuries.

The pathogen primarily affects the vascular and outer tissues of the host plant. By producing spores, the fungus spreads across plantation areas, particularly in moist conditions.
