The host range of these organisms includes various vegetable crops, cereals, and ornamental plants. The infection process primarily begins in the rhizosphere, where motile zoospores navigate through soil moisture to attach to root hairs. Once attached, they penetrate the tissues, leading to systemic physiological stress in the host plant.
