The host range of this pathogen includes various broad-leaved trees, frequently observed in forest ecosystems and nurseries. It specifically targets the base of the trunk and the root system, particularly in environments characterized by poor soil aeration and chronic waterlogging, which weaken the plant's natural defense mechanisms against opportunistic fungal invasions.
