Oidiopsis haplophylli is a fungal pathogen responsible for powdery mildew infections on various plant species, specifically within the Zygophyllaceae family. As an obligate parasite, it relies entirely on the living tissues of its host to complete its lifecycle, forming a superficial mycelium network on the leaves and stems.

This pathogen primarily targets species of the Haplophyllum genus. Its impact is most significant in regions where these plants are monitored for botanical research or agricultural cultivation. The disease disrupts the metabolic balance of the host plant by interfering with essential physiological functions, primarily photosynthesis.
