Phyllachora is a genus of ascomycete fungi that causes various leaf spot diseases in a wide range of plants, including grasses, legumes, and woody species. The primary symptom of the infection is the formation of characteristic black, shiny, and slightly raised stroma on the leaf surface. These structures represent the fruiting bodies of the fungus.
