The primary host for this pathogen is the quinine tree, a plant of significant economic and medicinal importance. The disease poses a severe threat to commercial plantations, often leading to significant yield losses if not managed with proper agricultural protocols and timely interventions.
Visible symptoms often include chlorosis (yellowing of leaves), premature wilting of the canopy, and necrotic lesions appearing near the base of the trunk.
