Potassium deficiency is a non-infectious physiological disorder in plants caused by an insufficient supply of potassium in the soil or the inability of the root system to absorb this essential nutrient. Potassium is vital for photosynthesis, enzyme activation, and stress resistance, making its absence critical for plant development.
A wide range of crops are affected by this condition, with corn being particularly sensitive during its rapid growth stages.
