Pseudozasmidium parkii is a fungal pathogen responsible for causing leaf spot diseases on various plant species, most notably Eucalyptus. As a specialized fungus, it affects the foliage of trees, leading to necrotic spots and potential defoliation. It is a significant concern for silviculture and nursery management worldwide.

The primary hosts for this pathogen are species within the Eucalyptus genus. While mature trees can be affected, the disease is particularly devastating to young saplings and nursery stock. When plants are kept in close proximity, the pathogen can spread rapidly, causing uniform damage across the entire nursery population.

Symptoms initially appear as small, subtle spots on the leaf surface. As the infection progresses, these spots expand, often developing a dark, velvety layer of conidiophores and conidia.
