The primary host range of this fungus is centered on barley. It manifests as a leaf-spotting disease, where the pathogen colonizes the leaf tissue, feeds on its nutrients, and disrupts the metabolic pathways essential for the plant’s growth and development during the vegetative stage.

Symptoms of the infection typically begin as small, indistinct lesions on the leaf surface.
