Rhizoglomus is a genus of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) that plays a critical role in global ecosystems and agriculture. Contrary to any disease classification, this organism acts as a beneficial symbiont. The biological mechanism involves the fungus colonizing the root cortex of the host plant. It creates highly branched structures known as arbuscules, which serve as the primary exchange sites.
